This weekend, a group of IAI employees and their families took a trip, in an inner tube, down the Potomac River. Our trip covered about two and a half miles of the river and took about four hours to complete. The water was moving relatively slow due to a lack of rain in the area, making the entire trip easier for smaller children and less experienced swimmers. However, the river picked up speed in two sections, one at the site of an abandoned dam and another after the Shenandoah River meets the Potomac. Overall the trip was relaxing and enjoyed by all. Can’t wait until next year!
