As part of our Mind & Body Wellness program at IAI, we have been learning a variety of meditation and mindfulness skills. Some of the skills we’ve learned so far include breathing techniques to relieve stress, “soft belly” breathing, mindful awareness, and mantra-based meditation. We’ve also been learning yoga practices that can be done anywhere, and are encouraged to take stretch breaks during the work day to de-stress and refocus. Coming up, we will also have the opportunity to learn about functional movement for strength and flexibility, and we’ll get to sample some nutritious smoothies! (It’s not all pizza and popcorn here at IAI).
